Joel took the kids to an Easter Egg Hunt in Monticello Saturday morning while I was recovering from work. Joel said the kids had a great time! He got some cute pictures. The following weekend Joel wanted to check out the BMX race track in Farmer City. We all went to see Dad jump his bike and when we got there realized that they were having an Easter Egg Hunt as well. Since we didn't come prepared with baskets or anything we had to improvise ( notice the kids awesome baskets). I thought it was funny that Charlee gathered all the pink, purple and orange eggs while Van preferred the green, blue and yellow ones.
The kids enjoyed coloring eggs at home and what really took me by surprise was how eager Charlee was to peel and eat the hard boiled eggs when we were done. No need to slice them or add any salt or pepper, she would just pretty much eat them whole.
