Grandma Sherry


Sherry Ann Bliven


December 22, 1936 ~ January 26, 2013

CLINTON – Saturday, January 26, 2013, our mum, Sherry Ann Bliven passed away.

She was born, December 22, 1936 in Ashton, Idaho to Walter W. VanSickle and Hattie Scoffield.
Sherry was married to Wallace Jay Hunt in July 1953. They were married for 13 years and had five children. They later divorced. She was then married to Ron Bliven on July 22, 1980 and they were able to spend over 30 years together.

Sherry attended Ogden High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Primary, Relief Society, and Sunday school. She worked for the Weber County Recorders office as a clerk. She loved spending time with her sisters, children, and grandchildren. She was very giving with her time and loving to all. She also enjoyed traveling and collecting antiques.

Survived by her husband, Ron, children: David J. Hunt, Douglas S. (Laura) Hunt, Don L (Sandy) Hunt, Dale C. (Janelle) Hunt, Janet E. (Seanoa) Lavatai, Arno Bliven, Daniel Bliven, Marjorie Bliven David Bliven, Emily Bliven, Adam (Becky) Bliven, Matthew Bliven, 25 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Jena Trease, Pat (Bus) Young, Peggy Young.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brother and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Clinton 13th Ward, 1708 West 800 North, Clinton. A viewing will be held Sunday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the church from 9:40 to 10:40 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
