Neighborhood Kids

October, 2013

Charlee and Van with some of their neighborhood friends. This neighborhood is awesome. I have never seen anything quite like it. The kids run and play from sun up to sun down. They are literally all over the place. I am so grateful to live in such a nice, safe, family friendly neighborhood. I know my kids are making great memories.

Operation!

September, 2013

$1 got me the original Operation Game (all pieces included) from our local Willow Tree Mission store in town. Couldn't pass that up.

Van the man

September, 2013

I just can't get enough of this guy.

School Starts!

August 20, 2013

Charlee is off to Kindergarten and Van is off to Preschool! I can't believe it. Charlee is in Full Day Kindergarten at Lincoln Elementary in Monticello. She is in a class of 15 students and doesn't know anyone yet although I know she will be fine. She is very excited to make new friends and learn to read. Van is in Full Day Preschool at Monticello Christian Academy three days a week and has 6 kids in his class. On the first day of school for both Charlee and Van I came home, sat down on the couch and didn't know what to do with myself.  The house was too quiet, I just couldn't wait to go pick them up and hear all about the day.

Carly's Mission

Just figured I could write a little bit about my little sister's mission in Malaga, Spain. She has been out for about 1 year now and should be returning around March of 2014. Here are just a few pictures that she's sent me. I sure do miss just picking up the phone and calling her. MAN. It sounds like she's really learned a lot and been able to grow her testimony. She's also been able to see some really cool places.

Charlee's 5th Birthday Party!

May, 2013

We had a few of Charlee's friends over for her birthday this year. She wanted a princess party so I tried my best to accommodate. We tried having a scavenger hunt... and we also played pin the crown on the princess. I think everyone had a good time. I just can't believe how big my Charlee is getting. I wish I could forever keep her this innocent.

Fourth of July

July 3, 2013

This year we attended Monticello's 4th of July Celebration at Lodge Park. We spent some time before hand at our friend Natalie and Joel's home and had a nice cookout. The fireworks were a hit. The park was packed. Several people camp out at the Park and actually have to reserve their spot weeks in advance (It's kind of a big deal). We don't go quite to that extreme, but it is something that we'll look forward to attending next year as well.
