Lagoon

June 27, 2012

Never, have I laughed SO hard at my son screaming in fear. Sorry Van, your mom is a jerk.

Things looked a little better as we rode the whale ride (thank goodness).

"Safety first!" Said Rachel and Sidney, as they loaded the children in the car (some with clothes on, some without, some safely restrained in their age appropriate car seats, some maybe not so much.)

Charlee and Cohen. Oh boy did they have fun at Lagoon, running from one ride to the next, these two were inseparable. This trip made me realize how much Charlee was growing up. She was SO independent, she wanted to be anywhere BUT right by my side. She didn't even have to stand on her tippy toes to make it on some of the big kid rides. What happened? Next year she'll be in Kindergarten. Oh gosh, don't get me started I might just lose it.

Van was fascinated with Gretta. He'd walk up to her and say, "Oh, cute! Baby!" I kept asking him if he wanted a little baby and of course he'd answer yes.

Stark Family Gathering

June 23, 2012

Vacation to UTAH!! It was great to be home in Utah with the family.  It doesn't take much to amuse and entertain us. My parents had the entire extended family over Saturday for South Ogden Days festivities. The kids spent the majority of the afternoon running and playing in the sprinklers and slip and slide. Even though we've been gone an entire year, it really just felt like we picked up right where we left.

Carly got this nasty scrape somehow from the slip and slide.

Charlee posing.

My sweetest little precious Sawyer just being absolutely adorable.

Sadie just looking creepy.

Rachel giving me 'the look' and thinking, "Please don't be posting my naked child on your blog".

St. Louis Zoo & Six Flags

May 27, 2012

I love these pictures because it shows a glimpse of how much Charlee and Van love their aunt and uncle. From the time Charlee was young she's always talked about her uncle Tom. And the same goes for Van, he's always like snuggling and hugging Syd. I think he's just a big flirt to be honest, and he's learned that he can get the ladies by looking and smiling at them just right.

This picture happens to be a personal favorite. Can you say dysfunctional?

These pictures are a combination of Six Flags and the St. Louis Zoo. We did both back to back while staying in St. Louis with the Hunts. It just so happened to be the hottest weekend of the year thus far with temps in the 100's. No biggie. I actually had to laugh because the following weekend AFTER the Hunts went back home, temps were back down to the 70's and breezy. That's how it goes right? So we dripped sweat and looked awesome the entire time as you can clearly see.

Busch Stadium

Memorial Day Weekend 2012- St. Louis, MO

This weekend the Hunts made it out to visit. Considering there isn't much to do in Monticello, we figured we'd check out St. Louis and make it fun for everyone. We rented a darling little home in St. Charles, MO which is about 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis. It was a great place to stay as a family, there were enough rooms and sleeping for everyone, a cute little kitchen and backyard. I'd definitely stay there again. The first stop we made was to the ball game at Busch Stadium. Cardinals vs. Phillies. Joel had been to a couple of games with his friend from work, Mitch. But as for the rest of us, we'd never been to Busch Stadium. It was very cool. Something I think you have to do if you are ever in St. Louis. Mainly just to say, "Hey, we went to Busch Stadium." Otherwise, people would say, "You went to St. Louis and didn't go to a ball game at Busch Stadium, what's wrong with you?" I mean, seriously? We wouldn't want to fall into that category.

The Cardinals won! It was a great game and we will never forget the streaker that made it from 1st base to center outfield (highlight of the game). This dude jumps down from the bleachers, fully clothed. Within seconds, the shorts are off, the shirt is off, the underwear is off. Security and players are chasing him across the field. The whole place is laughing and cheering him on. It was great.

All I can hear when I look at these pictures is, "Chocolate milk, Mom! Chocolate milk!"
The boy likes  his chocolate milk, WITH or WITHOUT the milk.

Happy Birthday Charlee!

May 12, 2012

Princess Party at the Park! For all of the up and down weather we've had lately, we were very fortunate to have perfect weather for Ms. Charlee's Birthday Party! Charlee insisted on having a Tangled Birthday party this year and we were not about to disappoint. Along with the nice weather we had an awesome turnout. Pizza, pinata, balloon animals, cupcakes and presents. What more could you ask for?
